2022 Sushi ginger market report
- Raw Material
Significantly reduce production by more than 40%
- The ginger planting area in 2022 wasreduced by 30%-40% compared with 2021.
- Because impact of rainy weather during the harvest season, the yield per mu was reduced by 10-20%.
- Raw material price
1) The price of fresh ginger is rising.
2) Because of the low yield, farmers are reluctant to sell them as pickled raw materials, and keep fresh ginger for sale.
- Estimated price of finished sushiginger
1) Raw material increase rate: 33%-38%
2) Changes in the exchange rate of RMB against the USD decrease by 10%.
Summary: the price of new-season sushi ginger will increase about 10%. YINGXI will update the price in middle November. Old prices for all customers are valid until 1st December 2022.
